Book Design

Celebrating four decades of financial innovation

SWIFT is a Brussels based, globally active cooperative through which the financial world conducts its business operations. It provides all possible services that allow customers to securely connect and exchange financial data.

In 2013, SWIFT celebrated its 40th anniversary, marked by a celebratory book which was designed by us. The book’s narrative structure is chronologically divided in periods which were important in the development of the financial world - from the invention of the SWIFT code to the financial crisis in 2008.

This rather kaleidoscopic history is also visible in the design. The look and feel is minimalist yet colorful. And - by using an enormous amount of archive materials and tailor-made illustrations-  we were able to feature the history and future of the company in a very dynamic, festive and engaging way.
